Thong Chai CNY 2024 Celebration was successfully held on February 21st in the auditorium hall of the Thong Chai Building. It was deeply honored to have STCMI Life Senior Honorary Chairman Mr. Lew Chee Beng PBM as the event’s Guest of Honour, and was delighted to welcome STCMI Senior Honorary Chairman Mr. Wong Swee Chun PBM to this grand event. Many prestigious guests attended this joyous occasion, including Mr.Yang Tse Pin, Mr. Chua Kim Hua BBM, Mr. Loh Siew Hock, Mr. Oh Boon Shi Tome, Mr. Robert Gho, Ms. Thia Sia Eng, Mr. Chu Chee Keong's family members, STCMI Legal Advisor Ms. Lim Lay Choo PBM, Mr. Ong Lip Cheng, as well as STCMI Honorary Directors, directors, members, and all staff.

The GOH arrived at 6 pm sharp. Physician Grace Tiew Chong Hui and Quek Yi Yang, who served as the emcees for the event, gave an eloquent introduction to 2024 CNY Celebration. Chairman Yeo delivered the opening speech, expressing sincere gratitude to the generous donors and particularly thanking everyone for their contributions during the Thong Chai Charity Golf 2023. He promised that the board would manage the funds with responsibility and transparency to promote STCMI development. In the coming year, the board will focus on improving the professionalism and quality of our physicians, providing better healthcare for the public, and giving back to the community.

Following the speech, the event kicked off with a choreographed performance by our physicians. The physicians danced lively with a dragon, accompanied by cheerful CNY songs, joyfully circling each table to bless the guests. Subsequently, the Head of the General Affairs Committee, Ms. Ng Puay Cheng, and deputy head Ms. Tan Choy Tip joined in, presenting a splendid performance of “Kemusan” dance. This exquisite performance not only won the hearts of the audience but also enlightened the atmosphere of the event.

In this joyful moment, the highly anticipated "God of Fortune" was played by Mr. Oh Boon Shi Tome, the STCMI Honorary Chairman. He was accompanied by four little Gods (Physician Aw Yong Keong Poh, Physician Lin Lay Yiak, Physician Chan Zhi Hao, and Physician Lim YuBin), bringing abundant blessings and good fortune to the guests. The hall was filled with applause and laughter, brimming with abundant joy.

Furthermore, physician Jojo Tan Sirui volunteered to present a solo flute performance. The beautiful melody of the flute enchanted the audience, transporting them into a world of delightful music. Following this was the three rounds of lucky draw. Various prizes, including vouchers and gift baskets, were presented, bringing surprises to each lucky winner and adding interactive fun to the event.
