On 1^st February 2023, our company held its Chinese New Year celebration dinner at the auditorium hall of Thong Chai Building. It was a privilege to have the Former Mayor of North West district and Former MP for Bukit Panjang SMC Dr. Teo Ho Pin as the event’s Guest of Honour. Other distinguished guests included STCMI Life Senior Honorary Chairman Mr. and Mrs. Lew Chee Beng, STCMI Senior Honorary Chairman Mr. Wong Swee Chun PBM, Honorary Chairpersons Mdm. Low Yuen Theng, Mr. Chua Kim Hua BBM, Mr. Loh Siew Hock, Mdm. Thia Sia Eng, STCMI Legal Advisors Ms. Jennifer Lim Lay Choo and Mr. Ong Lip Cheng, STCMI Honorary Advisor Mr. Khoo Boo Liat, STCMI Medical Advisor Mr. Teo Eng Kiat, and STCMI honorary directors, directors, and members.

Physician Lim Yubin and Physician Ong Si Yu were the hosts of this event. Upon the arrival of GOH Dr. Teo, the event kicked off with CNY songs ‘Gong Xi Gong Xi’ and ‘Xin Nian Tu Tu Tu’. Thereafter, STCMI Chairman Mr. Yeo Eng Koon delivered his welcome speech. He thanked the board of directors for their constant support to the organization’s developments, and all staff for a year of hard work and contributions. Moving forward, he promised that STCMI will continue to uphold its core vision and mission of providing free TCM treatment to all, while actively promoting TCM clinical research and education, and improving career development framework of TCM practitioners and staff. Chairman Yeo also congratulated Dr. Teo Ho Pin for his new appointment as the next chairperson of TCMPB this coming March.

After which, Dr. Teo delivered a heartfelt speech and mentioned that TCM has its unparalleled strengths in long-term healthcare management. He urged the TCM community to work together to value-add to the current healthcare system, and to provide high quality clinical services to the public.

As of all CNY celebrations, the highlight of the event was the blessings from ‘God of Fortune’, dressed up by Vice-Chairman Dr. Lee Peng Shu. He was accompanied by 4 little Gods of Fortune, Physician Aw Yong Keong Poh, Physician Lin Lay Yiak, Physician Ng Chin Kian, and Physician Leow Xin Ting, Kimberly. Lucky draw was held and guests were pleasantly surprised by the generous prizes.

Dr. Teo remained on stage to present the Best Staff Award to Physician Ong Si Yu and Ms. Gong Qian Yi. Honorary Chairwoman Mdm. Low Yuen Theng was then invited to present the Best Dressed Award to the winners.

At the end of the event, the hosts thanked all distinguished guests for gracing the joyous occasion, and once again expressed their gratitude to the board of directors for their unwavering support and contributions over the years. Special mentions was given to General Affairs Committee for their hard work in planning and organizing the celebration, and to all staff for helping out in one way or another.
