Thong Chai Charity Golf 2016 was held at Orchid Country Club, Aranda and Vanda Courses, on 14 October 2016. A total number of more than 130 golfers participated in the friendly competition. Golfers started arriving at Vanda Terrace for registration from 11am. After the pre-game lunch, golfers gathered for group photographs before the start of the tournament. The game was completed by 5pm with the top three male golfers and top two female golfers winning trophies or prizes for themselves. Prizes for Nearest the Pin, Nearest the Line and Longest Drive, were presented to various golfers.   The Guest of Honour (GOH) at the appreciation dinner was Ms Low Yen Ling, Mayor, Southwest CDC and Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Trade and Industry. Appreciation plaques were presented to individual or corporate donors who had made significant contributions to the event. Guests were entertained by a variety of performance items while enjoying the sumptuous dinner. Several paintings, a Raymond Weil watch and a Michelle Yim commemorative album were auctioned that night. The final event for the evening was a lucky draw for all guests and the top prizes of the latest iPhone 7 were won by three lucky winners.
